If you ask us when is the best time to visit Portugal, we usually say any time but August. But we know that’s not possible for everyone.
In this article, we share what (for us) are the advantages and disadvantages of traveling in high season in Portugal.

It is usually characterized by favourable weather conditions, numerous festivals and events and an overall lively atmosphere. In Portugal it is, of course, in summer.
One of the main advantages of traveling during this season is the abundance of activities and attractions available. The most popular destinations often organize special events and festivals during this time, showcasing local culture, traditions and gastronomy. Traveling in high season allows you to immerse yourself in the unique experiences that attract travelers from all over the world, such as the popular saints’ festivities that bring life to cities all around the country.

Many travelers seek destinations during this season to enjoy sunny beaches, pleasant temperatures or picturesque landscapes.
